Members are selected through an audition process in September for two full symphony orchestras, the CYMO and the Intermezzo Orchestra.

The Intermezzo Orchestra, founded in 1992, is an 80 member full symphony orchestra for the intermediate level orchestral player ages 9 to 17. The repertoire last season included original compositions such as Egmont Overture by Beethoven, Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens, John Henry by Copland, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Grieg.
