It was a big travel day! The gang didn't get a chance to check in, so the next day Roger sent his apologies and just a quick rundown on that day's events.

Cesky Krumlov was fun, a medieval city at the headwaters of the Vltava. It's actually protected by the United Nations--here's a picture I borrowed from Wikipedia so you can see just how lovely it is (click image for larger size):

Roger and Janet managed to get ahold of a vegetarian lunch, "from some guy who talks like he's from Chicago," says Roger, and ate it along the banks of the river.

The rest of the day was spent on the road to Austria, ending up at the hotel for a late dinner and a good night's rest. The next day would be the big concert at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
