"On the information that I gave you, I neglected to tell you that the airline we're returning on is Delta. We are scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 30, at 8:23 p.m. We will be on Delta Flight 603 from Atlanta. Be sure to check with the airline for the exact time of arrival before you go to the airport." You can call Delta at 1-800-325-1999 or go to http://www.delta.com/ and enter the flight number 603.

Today was normal day for orchestra rehearsals and sectionals. Unfortunately, five CYMO members arrived late to rehearsals and were fined. The orchestras are sounding great. The sectionals are just super. The trombones even had time to prepare music to play during dinner. Each day from 3:00 to 5:00 there is free time and there are shuttles we can take to go to the beach. But today there were threats of lightening storms so the shuttles didn't run. So we have students practicing, students sleeping, and students chatting and making friends. |

| Tonight there was a dance for the kids, and they were showing "Harry Potter" in the theater room. Stephanie Chen, a former CYMO member, who joined us as a chaperone, is also helping by leading sectional rehearsals with the kids that want more practice. | ![]() |
| We met in small groups with all of the members to go over the schedule for the rest of the week and the procedures for departure day. CYMO is the largest orchestra with almost 100 members. The other orchestras have between 40 and 70 members. | ![]() |
| Most festivals are one of two kinds. 1) Festivals that select a limited number of the top players who work with guest coaches to work on new music and techniques, and 2) Festivals where the whole orchestra goes and performs. This festival involves the whole orchestra in both types of experiences. | ![]() |
| Tomorrow two of the festival orchestras will perform at 3:00 p.m. and two will perform at 7:30 p.m. | ![]() |
