Heidelberg

(Report filed by Roger Samuel at midnight, German time, 3:00 p.m. Pacific, June 26)

This has been a WONDERFUL day! Everyone was up on time and on the bus right when we were supposed to leave. We visited Heidelberg, Heidelberg Castle, Castle Gardens, the Old University, and the Students' Prison. We continued on to Rothenburg where we walked clear through the city. Then we saw the church with a brand new organ with 5, 000 pipes and had lunch. The buses then continued on to Oberammergau. We are in Oberammergau now. Tomorrow we will visit Neuschwanstein Castle and have our first concert.

Stacy Guthrie has become our "major translator." She had an extended conversation with the bus driver, and we're all proud of her. She was taking the orders for breakfast in her hotel. Everything is going swimmingly.

Tonight everyone was practicing in their hotel rooms. It was great! It was like camp, except it was way better because it was pretty outside.

Please don't be concerned if your child has not called you. Sometimes it is not convenient to call. If there is any problem, we will call you.
